PUG Challenge 2012 was a great success, so don't miss EMEA PUG Challenge 2013!

After the great success of the 2012 conference in Manchester, the European Progress User Groups will again be organising a technical and business oriented conference, this time to be held on November 2013 in the city of Brussels, Belgium. The actual dates and venue have not yet been confirmed. This event is expected to be the premier conference for the Progress community in Europe for the year 2013.

The goal is to deliver practical and highly valuable technical content to our attendees - people involved in developing, integrating and managing applications:
  • Demonstrate techniques and/or technology
  • Provide/discuss code examples and illustrative diagrams
  • Is informative and instructional
  • Provides insight into current software development trends
The new CEO of Progress Corporation, Phil Pead, has confirmed that he will address a plenary session at the conference. Most people in the community are happy that the turmoil of the last couple of years is over and that Progress is once again focussed on OpenEdge as a core part of the business. Recent releases such as the exciting OpenEdge Mobile toolset and the imminent Business Rules functionality due in 11.3 are the first fruits of this new focus. All of us in the community will be interested to hear what Phil has to say about the future of the platform we all depend on.
